Thanksgiving Day 2005
Danny and I flew home to Plano, Texas to visit the Reeder family for Thanksgiving this year. The day started out with the youth group boys battling their dads in flag/tackle-when-necessary football. The youth made an astounding comeback from last years lost (42-0) and upset the dads in a 35-14 victory. Stay tuned for the tie-breaker, scheduled for Superbowl(s) Sunday. Here are my boys after the game:
We then went home to a house filled with the scents of Mom's wonderful cooking. This years spread included all of the Reeder Traditions:- Turkey
- Homemade Dressing (no StoveTop here)
- Sesame Corn
- Green Bean Casserole (with extra French Onions on top)
- Sweet Potato Pone
- Mashed Potatos & Gravy
- Cranberry Sause
- Nana Alice's Pumpkin Pie
- Pecan Pie
- Apple Cider
Here's the Reeder & Stiller Family before sitting down to enjoy the feast.
