Cason's Schedule at 18 Months

Wow, so the last time I posted Cason's schedule (at one year) he was still nursing and still taking two naps a day. It's wild how fast things change!

Somewhere around 14 months Cason had a week where he napped in the morning but then refused to nap in the afternoon. Well, being pregnant with two kiddos I need my children to nap AT THE SAME TIME! So, I transitioned Cason to taking one nap a day in the afternoon with Cannon. This was probably a few months earlier than he was ready for, as he would still fall asleep in the car on our way to morning play dates, but I was determined to have children that nap together.

We have JUST transitioned Cason to a big boy bed in the same room as Cannon. He was in the same room, just in the crib. He has trouble staying in bed at nap time, but so far has done GREAT at night.

Another thing to note: Cason always wakes up crying. It doesn't matter if it's nap time or in the morning. And he often doesn't want me to pick him up right away. He's our slow waker upper.

8:00 am - Wake up
8:30 am - Breakfast
9:00 am - Play group, walk at the park, library story hour, errands, or destroy the house
12:30 pm - Lunch
1:30 pm - Nap
3:30/4:00 pm - Wake up
6:00 pm - Dinner
7:30 pm - Bath & Bed time

Cason's Schedule at One Year

I know these aren't the most exciting posts, but I wish I would have recorded Cannon's schedule more indepth so I could look back at it now.

I missed recording Cason's schedule at nine months. I kept putting if off because it was constantly shifting and changing. He'll sleep in until the same time for a week and then wake in the middle of the night again for a week. It's like he's trying to keep me on my toes.

A few notes about this schedule. He JUST dropped down to two nursing sessions a day the week of his first birthday. Before that he was nursing right before going down for his second nap of the day. He also likes to go down for the night fairly early. I think he'd be in bed by 7:00 pm if he could get there himself. If we haven't started the bedtime routine by 7:00 pm or 7:30 pm then he's a basket case!

7:00 am - Wake up and nurse
8:00 am - Breakfast
9:30/10:00 am - Nap #1
11:30 am - Wake up
12:30 pm - Lunch
1:30/2:00 pm - Nap #2
3:30/4:00 pm - Wake up
4:00/4:30 pm - Snack
5:30 pm - Dinner
7:00 pm - Nurse
7:30 pm - Bed time

Cason's Schedule at 6 Months

Six months and Cason is rocking his schedule like a pro. I think my baby's Babywise themselves essentially. Actually, I think Babywise just observed some babies and wrote down the schedule they did naturally. Granted, we've done a little crying and put up with a little fussing to get Cason on this schedule, but my boys are pretty easy going.

Here's Cason's schedule at six months:

6:30 am      Wake up, nurse and go back to sleep
8:00 am      Wake up for the morning (this actually occurs anywhere from 8 am to 9 am)
9:00 am      Nurse before we leave for our morning activities
9:30 am      Nap #1 (if we stay home, then Cason's usual asleep by now, but if we're out an about he cat naps in his carseat and in the wrap all throughout the morning)
12:30 pm    Nurse
1:00 pm      Nap #2 (my little super sleeper usually naps for around 2-3 hours)
4:00 pm      Nurse
5:30 pm      Nap #3 (for about 45 min to 1 hour)
7:00 pm      Bathtime and nurse
7:30 pm      Tucked into bed!

So, he's eating five times a day and napping three times a day with lots of cuddles and tummy time in between!

Cason's Schedule at 3 Months

At 12 weeks Cason is settling into a little schedule of his own. Granted half of his naps are taken in the bouncer or being worn on me, but it's a schedule none-the-less!

7:00 am          Wake up & Nurse
8:30 am          Nap #1
(This is the nap that gets interrupted for our morning activities, but Cason rolls with it!)
9:30 am          Wake up & Nurse
(a last minute snack before we run out the door)
10:00 am        Nap #1 continued
(in the car, in the Moby Wrap or in the stroller depending on what we're doing that day)
12:00 pm        Nurse
1:00 pm          Nap #2
                       (same time as Cannon)
4:00 pm          Wake up & Nurse
(are you seeing a theme here?)
4:30 pm          Play time on floor
5:30 pm          Nap #3
6:30 pm          Wake & Play
7:00 pm          Nurse
7:30 pm          Bed Time
10:30 pm        Nurse before I go to bed
5:30 pm          Cason wakes up to nurse

So, to recap - that's three naps and seven feedings in 24 hours! He can stay awake for about and hour to and hour and a half in between naps and can go 3-4 hours in between feedings.
