A picture 40 years in the making: Cannon sitting in the same high chair Nan used for her youngest two boys. I think it's safe to say they don't make them like they use to.

Never a bored moment when new toys abound.

While big brother was playing and eating, little brother's feet never hit the floor.

Cason Meets the Family

The next few posts are from our trip to New York. I did my best to take some photos, but traveling with two children kept both of my hands busy most of the time. The boys did great on the flight. Cason is still young enough to nurse to sleep and Cannon is old enough to appreciate a video and an ipod, so the flight was not nearly as bad as I was anticipating.

Cason met his great grandparents for the first time in New York.

Cuddles from Glammy were plentiful.

And the cousins were actually old enough to play together this time! Remember last year's trip to New York? Cannon had no hair!

Play Date with Chandler

There once was a time when I got a crazy idea to road trip to College Station by myself with Cannon to visit our friends the Groves and attend an activity bag swap (post forthcoming!).

It was a little chaotic, but we made it in one piece and had a blast!

SIDE NOTE: If you have suggestions on what to do with your toddler (who's NOT walking yet) while you use a fast food restaurant's bathroom - I'd LOVE to hear them. I ended up just deciding I didn't have to go that bad because there was NO way I could hold him or put him on the floor. I did contemplate rolling him into the bathroom in the high chair, but that just seemed plain weird.

Chandler is three weeks younger than Cannon and it was fun to watch them interact. They both LOVE the same Fisher Price walker, so it was often like the dueling walkers in the Groves' living room.

Little Beach Bums

Apparently the Stiller and Morse Families make water babies, because these two LOVED the beach. After waiting out the afternoon rainstorm under the drippy beach umbrella we enjoyed a few minutes in the water before more showers headed our way and cut our beach day short.

New York Cousins

One of the days we were in New York it RAINED! Blissful, relaxing rain. So we spent the day letting the kids play at Mike and Ann's.

Olivia introduced Cannon to Blue's Clues and Cannon showed Olivia how to stack cups.

Meanwhile the dads did their thing in the kitchen and perfected their ceviche recipe.

New York, New York

We ventured to New York to see family and Cannon jumped right in to doing what we do best when we hit the Big Apple: eating!

The child would literally put away two eggs, four sausage links, a handful of blueberries, and multiple strawberries and then look at your plate and sign "please" for your pancake. He must have been going through a growth spurt!

Many more pictures of the cousins playing and our adventures are forthcoming, but here's a little preview to tide you over.

All Good Things Must Come to an End . . .

. . . as did our time in New York.

This is Cannon flipping out when I wouldn't share my Starbucks:

And this is the face of realization that milk is not far away.

So long New York. We can't wait to see you again very soon!
