Oh Blue Bunny

Sometimes I wonder if I have only two children, or if they have multiplied and there are actually three. Every time I turn around Blue Bunny is right there, joining us on our daily adventures. Cannon takes great care of him, as you'll see. Most of these photos were taken when I walked into a room to find Cannon tending to Blue Bunny. Nothing was set up. Nothing was staged.

Blue Bunny gets baths . . .

. . . complete with a little shower rinse off.

Blue Bunny gets his diaper changed FREQUENTLY. . .

. . . and based on the number of wipes Cannon tries use, Blue Bunny must have horribly dirty diapers.

Blue Bunny plays everything with us, but he's particularly fond of airplane rides on Cannon's feet.

And, there's even more diaper changes . . . this time on a mat.

Occasionally, Baby Brother gets his hands on Blue Bunny and then Blue Bunny had better watch out . . .

. . . because more often than not Blue Bunny's going to get the boot!

The Dallas Arboretum

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Kristin and Jack invited us to spend the day with them at the Dallas Arboretum. Cannon had a blast chasing Jack all over the place.

My reflection is the closest you'll get to seeing a picture from Cason this day. He was pretty much content hanging out in the wrap while we walked around.

::Hugs::

And yes, Jack actually fell into the bushes. He was undeterred. Meanwhile Cannon wouldn't walk down the steps without holding my hand. You'd think some of Jack's adventurous spirit would rub off on Cannon or that Cannon's cautious attitude would slow Jack down - but it doesn't seem to work like that.

How many more years do you think I can away with taking pictures of Cannon with flowers? :-)

Here's Jack contemplating making a break for it.

Here's Jack convincing Cannon that they've had enough of these pictures and would rather explore.

And they're off. And yes, I realize that Cannon's shorts look like pants.

We're glad to have friends who enjoy the Arboretum with us!

2010 Babies: Village Depot

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

We are getting back in the swing of life and slowly rejoining our play groups. The 2010 Babies (who are all about to turn TWO YEARS OLD?! WILD!) met up to play at the Village Depot at the Shops at Allen. There's a caboose, a grass maze and all of these cute little house to explore.

Cannon's Little Love

Be warned INTENSE CUTENESS ahead!

Cannon had his first kiss several weeks ago from little Miss Julia on a preschool Wednesday morning. He liked that so much that he laughed and she gave him another - one right smack dab on the lips.

Well, his first love is moving away, far away, and we are very sad.

But apparently Cannon is moving on. (Don't tell Julia!)

It all started with a little hug from Addie after our picnic lunch at the Arboretum.

Well, Cannon liked that, so there was a second hug.

Those hugs just tickled him happy.

Then we told them to do a "fist bump" and that inadvertently turned into a hand hold. Oops - don't tell Addie's dad!

And they were off.

Addie could walk faster than Cannon so she would lead the way and Cannon would try desperately to keep up in his unsteady step and hysterical giggle.

Pretty soon they would lose their grip because Cannon couldn't keep up. They would then stop, grab hands and off they went again.

And that, my friends, is the face of sheer joy.

But as quickly as it started it was over. They wouldn't even pose for a cute little picture on the bench together.

Preschool: Farm Month (Week 4)

In case you missed it, read about our earlier farm adventures here:

To end our farm month we went on a field trip to the farm! For $5 we fed the goats, took a hayride, petted the animals, and toured the barns at Owens Spring Creek Farm in Richardson. Cannon could have spent the day there. He fearlessly wanted to feed and touch all of the animals.

And yes, he kept his sunglasses on the entire time - it was BRIGHT out folks!
