Preschool: Farm Month (Week 1)

In August Cannon started "preschool!" I use the term "preschool" very loosely as we don't really sit down and do any formal learning, rather our play time is based around a theme for the month. August was "farm month."

Three other friends were willing to join in the chaos with us, so each week we got together to teach the following elements:

• read books
• complete a theme-related activity
• go through a Slow & Steady Get Me Ready unit
• experience a sensory activity

Week One this is what we did:

• Reading: farm books
• Farm Activity: made a barn out of a big box
• Sensory Activity: excavated farm animals from jello
• Slow & Steady Get Me Ready: played "pick up"
