Christmas with Aunt Sally

December 9th - 10th Danny and I travelled up to Fletcher, NC to visit my Aunt Sally for a fun-filled Christmas weekend. Friday night we enjoyed dinner with Aunt Sally and her friends at Iannucci's followed by an amazing Singing Christmas Tree performance at Arden Presbyterian Church. Now, if you have never seen a Singing Christmas Tree and I am not going to tried to explain it. I tried to explain it to Danny before we went, and the best way he could describe his reaction during the performance was "culture shock".

Saturday we ventured out to the mall to do a little shopping with Aunt Sally. After an afternoon nap and shower we dressed up and made our way to the Grove Park Inn for our "birthday" dinner. Aunt Sally and Danny share the same birthday (Nov. 21st) and mine is week earlier! We enjoyed thier fabulous Prime Rib buffet along with other entres (Salmon, Sushi, pasta, chicken, and more). We ate slow and relished in numerous trips back for more vegetables, deserts, and bread. After eating all that we could we walked around the hugemongous fireplaces, the decorated Christmas trees, and the Gingerbread displays.
