Memorial Day Canoe Trip
On Memorial Day Danny and I ventured out into the "coolest things to do in Columbia" arena. We found a hard core canoe/kayak/camping/all-around-outdoor store and rented a canoe. After strategically placing our cars (at the top & bottom of the river, so as to have a way to get home) we hoisted that big red boat down to the crick and put in our paddles.
About half way down the 3 mile stretch there was a little current, with mini-rapids. They were enough to rock the canoe back and forth and make us feel very adventuresome. The other half of the 3-mile route we actually had to paddle, well, Danny paddled and I put my oar in the water and tried to be of some use.
We picnicked on the rocks, soaked up the sun, and splashed each other to our hearts content. It was a $30 well spent and our chacos were put to great use! Enjoy all of the pictures at: thestillers.shutterfly.com.

You two make the LCB's look like a joke, the way you run rapids without scouting, renting run-of-the-mill canoes and making them work wonders for you. It wasn't too long ago i remember a couple a' conoes atop a Jeep, and four-fingered Steve hauling us away to the rest of our lives. You two make me smile, and by the way, thanks for posting your marriage questions you ask each other every quarter online, Ash and i had fun with some of those yesterday on our 1 year.
Hey!
How's the weather holding up there? Are you getting much rain from the tropical storm?? It was so good to hear from you!
I am so glad you all have found a church and class to be plugged into! It took us a long time to find a good sunday school. All of the "Young Marrieds" were in their 40s with 5 kids! But we found a great one now!
Hope all is going well with you guys!
Laura,
I checked y'alls out! It's fun catching up on your lives. Looks like you're having tons of fun being married and checking out your new locale (well not so new anymore)
I'll be back!
Christine
