Summer Reading
This summer has found me reading on the weekends at Barnes and Noble with Danny, reading by the pool in between shifts at Starbucks, then reading by the lake at night after a long day at the bank, and now reading by the pool again after a half day's work at BCBS. It's a good life.
So, if you are looking for a little exercise of your brain, let me recommend . . .
For insight into raising a Christ-centered, respectful, and happy family, read:
*The Shaping of a Christian Family - Elisabeth Elliot
For adventurous stories, a reminder that life is an adventure, and encouragement that you're probably not the only one who married a crazy man, read:
*I Married Adventure - Osa Johnson

For inspiration to mold and impact little lives, read:
*Educating Esme - Esme Raji Codell

For a thought-provoking read on what it means to be American, read:
*Digging to America - Anne Tyler
For a light-hearted, well-written pet memoir, read:
*Marley & Me - John Grogan
For an intriguing children's book that will teach morals in the most unexpected way, read:
*The Wish Giver - Bill Brittain
For motivation to spread the Gospel and run with it to the ends of the earth, read:
*End of the Spear - Steve Saint

Please feel free to comment on some of your favorite reads. I'm always looking for more excuses to go to the library. You can change the name, but you can't take the Reeder out of the girl.
