A Little Christmas Apartment
Our Christmas decorations actually came down last night - I know, it's a very sore subject for this lover of all things Christmas - but we couldn't come back from New York to find all the pine needles from our dying Christmas tree on the floor. The presents have been holding our dear little tree up for the last week.
Here's our Charlie Brown tree decked out in my childhood memories.
Danny created a make-shift manager scene with clippings from the Christmas tree.
And, we don't have a fireplace or a mantle this year, so we're hoping Santa can make it through the television!
Mom continued her Christmas tradition of giving us meaningful ornaments to commemorate the past year with these cute Mickey & Minnie Mouse figures. They more than accurately portray Danny's servants heart when it comes to shopping with me!
I lined the bar with candles, flowers and garland.
And, just for laughs, because so many of our friends have gotten a kick out of the "Can You Find" Bottle, here's our little end table of miscellaneous Christmas fun.

Mom filled these soda bottles with bird seed and then little items (a safety pin, a blue marble, a pipe cleaner, a button, a penny, a seashell, etc.) and you are suppose to shake, turn, and search for each item in the bird seed. It's surprisingly hard and frustrating and fun all at the same time, and it has provided countless hours of fun and laughter (mostly at the expense of Jenna, who refuses to give up!).
Merry Christmas ya'll! It's good to be back in Texas for the Holiday Season. The weather is 75 degrees and the traffic is a nightmare, but is truly home.

I'll give up as soon as I find that blue decorative marble, which I still don't believe is actually in there.
