A Very SWINGing Christmas

Danny has officially finished his first semester at DTS! He had his last final (Greek no less) yesterday and I am sure that he completed it with flying colors.

While Danny has been hard at work studying, I have had the blessing of meeting with a SWING (Seminary Wives in Nurturing Groups - cute huh?!) group every other Thursday night for Bible study. We've laughed and cried and gotten to know each other more. Here we are:

Back Row (Left to Right): Christina, Joanna, Melani, Erin, & Jenna
Front Row: (Left to Right): Laura, Sijie, & Michelle

Just a little bit about our group:
Four of us were going through our very first semester at DTS, three of us have kids or were pregnant (NOT ME!), one of us is a full-time student at DTS with her husband, two of us are stay-at-home moms, and only one of us is from or has ever lived in Texas before (ME!). So, it was a fun and diverse group to get to know.

You can visit the girls at their own blogs at the links under the picture.

Well, we decided that for our last meeting of the semester we would create a "Getcha Through Finals" goodie basket for our husbands. We each brought multiples of one item and then shared to make our baskets of love. It was a great evening of eating junk food, sipping on peppermint eggnog punch and loving on our husbands. We've decided that we'll need to do this at least once a semester, because it's so much easier and fun to be creative together!

Well, his finals are over, but I left him his little goodie basket in his car last week. It was full of hot chocolate, fruit snacks, homemade biscotti, peanut butter popcorn, candy, and little "I love you because . . . " notes, just because I love him and am so proud of how well he's done at disciplining himself in his studies.

You left out one of the items in the basket. I can't believe you didn't list it....
