SF Grill Out
I don't have much to say other than our second and final year with our Spiritual Formations (SF) group is coming to and end, and I wanted to show your our fun friends.
We are celebrating the end of the year and the beginning of warm weather by hanging out the last few Sundays before the end of the semester.
Joey and Jenna will be off leading a youth group somewhere in the Midwest some day. Henry (the dog) has tried for two years to convert me into an "indoor dog" lover - he has yet to succeed. I tolerate him for Jenna's sake. They actually have their own domain names, making them eons cooler than us.
Luke and Becca spend their summers in Haiti and went to school in Columbia, SC. Luke lets Danny ride his motorcycle around the parking lot every week after SF and thereby should get extra points just for his patience.
Josh and Laura love college students and went to A&M. (Can you see what good Aggies they are in their coordinating sweatshirts?) Josh loves math (thanks to my Mom I can handle people that like math more than should be allowed) and Laura loves photography and always lets me pick her brain with questions about photoshop, lenses and good photoshoot locations!
And then there's us. The red sweatshirt people.
And, I've been waiting this whole entire blog post to share this with you. While Jenna was gone (for no more than 10 minutes) Joey (her husband and co-owner of Henry-the-dog-who-tries-to-make-me-like-him-by-jumping-on-me) had the BRILLIANT idea to throw Henry down the slide at the park.
I want to reiterate (because Jenna's freaking out just about now) that THIS WAS ALL JOEY'S IDEA! I had nothing to do with this other than take pictures. So, up Joey went with Henry while Danny readied himself in "catching" position at the bottom of the slide.
Henry ended up trying RUN down the slide and Danny never did have a successful catch.
This was only attempted twice, and no Henry's were hurt in the making of this picture.
Although, if Henry's been walking a little bit sideways, Jenna, you now know why.
The terrified look on Henry's face alone makes me like him just a little. So, congratulations Henry, succeeded just a little bit in your two year endeavor.
