Breakfast at Dad's

There are many things in life worth remembering; few things do we actually capture in a photograph.

For some reason breakfast holds special memories for both of us.

Danny loves sipping in coffee at Nan & Poppi's kitchen table in New York. He says coffee tastes the best there. We've tried duplicating it: Dunkin Donuts coffee, Land O' Lakes half & half, yet nothing tastes the same.

I grew up with the Saturday morning tradition of listening to Adventures in Odyssey while my Dad whipped up scrambled eggs, pancakes, Top Hats or his infamous Cream of Wheat.

We've documented Nan's French Toast and Nan's Egg-in-a-Hole, so I decided it was time to commit my childhood breakfast's to (well, I want to say "film" here, but who shoots in film any more?) digital files.

The first installment: Top Hats - that's what we called them growing up. Danny knows them better as Egg-in-a-Hole.
