Preschool: Transportation Month (Week 2)
In case you missed it, read about our earlier transportation adventures here:
- Reading: transportation books
- Transportation Activity: Play with cars on a motor mat (drawn on a shower curtain if you lack the real deal).
- Sensory Activity: Wash boats/cars/trucks/etc. in soapy water - aka: car wash!
- Slow & Steady Get Me Ready: Place different objects in plastic containers so kids can hear the different sounds they make when rattled.
One of the things I LOVE about preschool week with our friends is that we get to do messy things. Somehow messes are more fun in groups. This week's car wash was no exception. It was hilarious.
Dominik sat and slung wet rags over his head like a rally rag and then giggled in delight.
Julia LOVED dumping the water out . . .
. . . and sitting in bowls.
And Cannon, well, Cannon did his usual thing of giving the kids weird looks as they played and learned and explored. I don't know if he's intrigued or disturbed by everyone else's energy and fun, but he's content sitting and taking it all in.
