Cannon at 16 Months

This month Cannon cut all four of his molars. That was fun . . . NOT! It was the worst teething experience so far and not even the amber necklace could curb the fussiness that lasted for several weeks while we waited for all of them to pop through.

The other big news that happened this month was that Cannon started walking. At first it was just half of the time, then a few days later . . . BOOM . . . he was vertical the majority of the day! Everyone told me to watch out for walking, that he would now get into EVERYTHING. However, I haven't found walking to be any worse than his crawling and pulling up. He just looks so much older and like a little boy when he walks around.

At his 15 month well-baby doctor's visit Cannon checked in at 24 lbs 2 oz (50%) and 31 1/2" long (85%). So, his growth rate has slowed slightly (from 95% at 12 months) but he's still long and lean!

Cannon's language exploded this month. I've discovered that he can follow verbal commands such as "Go and get that ball and put it in the basket." He's signed and attempting to say more and more words. I've created the lists below to help me track, but I'm sure I'll give up tracking these quickly, as I could probably teach him a new sign a day and he'd pick it up. He's outgrown my very limited signing vocabulary and I now I have to look up new words to teach him!
