Gospel Poem and Song

This morning at breakfast Cannon, Cason and I came up with a poem/song that tells the gospel story.  The other day at dinner Cannon busted out with various parts of the Gospel story that he has heard me repeat in prayers.  This morning he did it again and we decided to make a poem.  Here it is below.

Jesus came to earth to be a man

He was born in Bethlehem.

He lived a life perfect for us,

To redeem us if we trust.

He died on the cross for our sins

It kinda looked like Satan did win.

He was put in a tomb in the ground
Everyone walked around with a frown.

BUT three days later he rose again

Triumphant over death and sin.

He ascended up into the clouds and sky

To intercede for you and I.

And one day he is coming back

To put the world back on track.

Right now we might be sad and blue

But Jesus is making all things new.
