Tie Dye Easter Eggs
Can you tell what we did this weekend? Thanks to Martha Stewart's creative genius and to Danny's love of watching the news in the morning, we discovered a new way to dye Easter Eggs.
2. Cut the ties apart, using only the silk material. Wrap the tie around egg and secure with a twisty.
3. Wrap the silk-wrapped eggs again in cotton. Yea for Nan having old, soft undershirts.
4. Boil the wrapped eggs for 20 minutes in water and three tablespoons of vinegar.
5. Unwrap, and wha-la . . . authentic TIE dye eggs! As you can see - some didn't turn out so bright, but you can imagine what beautiful colors they could have been.
We almost had as much fun taking pictures of the eggs as we did creating them! Pop on over to shutterfly to see all the fun you missed out on.

That is seriously so cool! Those are the neatest looking dyed eggs I've ever seen. I'm bookmarking this post and tagging it to remember for next year!
Silk ties do that? Learn something new every day!
