Christmas Twinkles in Manhattan

On Christmas Eve, after all the gifts were wrapped, all the food was eaten, and all the celebrating had died down, Danny and I decided to go for a late night ride through Manhattan. A midnight car ride to see the city lights was a childhood tradition for Danny, so off we went in our cozy sweats and Columbia coats.

Apparently we weren't the only ones with the idea, because 5th avenue, Rockafeller Center and Times Square was packed with bumper to bumper traffice and shoulder to should crowds. At one point, Danny pulled over to a curb, I jumped out and bought two cokes and two hot dogs before he got honked at once.

Here are just a few of our pictures from the city. To see all of them visit here. And, yes, we are in the process of changing photo management websites. Don't worry, we'll get all of our pictures transferred, and I will write a blog about all of the different photo management websites I reviewed and why we landed at Fotki.com.

NYC is such a magical place to spend the holidays! My brother and sil live in Hoboken and we've spent a couple of Christmas/New Year's celebrations with them there. What a magical place! We even had our picture taken in front of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center when we were newlyweds, thinking we'd use that picture for our Christmas card the following year. But Matt's smile came out looking like I was standing on his foot! Oh well...
