Father's Day

Just some fun family pictures from Father's Day.

Dad's sporting one of the five million softball shirts he has. Ever since I can remember his wardrobe consisted of two things: work clothes and softball shirts. When I helped Mom fold clothes Dad would have several stacks of softball shirts - different colors and varying degrees of softness, because, well the 1996 Champions shirt is obviously going to be softer than the 2007 Champions shirt. But give him 12 years and he'll have that 2007 shirt broken in too.

When all of the softball shirts wouldn't fit into the dresser drawers any more, they were doled out to the kids for night shirts. When they were too stained to be worn in public, they were retired to painting smocks. And, when they were worn thin enough to see through, they were thrown into the rag bin in the garage. I don't know what we would have worn to bed or cleaned up the messes with if Dad's team had stopped winning the championship each season.

The beard is long since gone, but the bald is definitely Danny's look of the summer.

Mom had this fabulously delicious game. We had to taste test difference ice creams while blindfolded and decide as a team what kind of ice cream it was. You got points for guessing each ingredient and points for guessing the name/brand. The best part was just trying to get ice cream onto your spoon and into your mouth without seeing what you were doing. More empty spoons went into the mouths and more ice cream landed on the table that not.

Danny was by far the goofiest.

Dad and Joey were by far the most competetive.

And I believe Mandy and Matthew had the most mishaps. Mandy was eating out of her hand at one point. (Obviously I didn't SEE this, just heard it with my ears - since I NEVER peak/cheat at games!)
