A Final Transformation
These are just some of the faces that showed up on August 2nd for the last Transform of Summer 2008.
The auditorium getting a touch up.
Beautiful, blue lockers.
Danny, making notes on his Blackberry.
More mosaics:
A kindergarten bathroom (complete with a mini toilet and sink) got a new paint job.
Almost done . . .
Messy hands:
How many people does it take to tape a classroom?
Jon & Bre masked and ready for constructing a new gym closet.
Many brushes makes for quick painting.
Time to pack up:
A bright, newly-painted classroom ready for kids.
Final touches on the doors:
And, a complete mosaic for the schoolyard:
One last coat on the handrails and one more excuse to wear masks and coveralls.
The finished gym closet:
A little conversation while cleaning . . .
Another finished mosaic:
The leadership team survived!
Although this is how they really felt:
We spent three weekends physically transforming a school in South Dallas, but people are still there transforming lives through mentoring and relationships.
