A Visit to Aggieland

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Cannon experienced Aggieland for the first time.

Danny showed him his corps dorm.

We took Cannon's picture by none other than . . . the cannon!

We tried to explain the greatness that is a Sweet Eugene's Snickerdoodle Latte.

We told umpteen stories about walking across campus.

Maybe one day in 18 years we'll recreate this picture on Parent's Weekend!

Danny rocked the Beco carrier.

And, we visited new blogging friends!

Look What My Hands Can Feel!

Cannon discovered his feet . . .

. . . how to rollover halfway . . . onto his side . . .

. . . and his head and lack of hair!

Cannon - Week 16 (10/28/10)

Cannon has started grabbing/feeling his head. It's precious. It's like he just realized it was there, either that or the texture of his arm is mesmerizing. He slept 11.5 hours one night (and then woke up starving at 4:30 am the next night - oh well).

He is finding his fingers more and more and instead of just sucking his fist will often suck on a finger (or two or three) until he gags himself.  His fine motor skills need work, as he will grab for a rattle but only hold on for a little while.

Reeder Family Photo Shoot

I don't think I ever posted these. So sad, because they are fabulous.

Since we added two new family members to the Reeder clan this year, the kids decided we needed to give our parents a photo shoot for their anniversary. The wonderful Gara Hill did a great job and here are the results for you to see.

Cannon - Day 91 (10/7/10)

Cannon is getting better and better at his eye/hand coordination.

He LOVES batting at the frog on his activity mat.

And Papa Bill should be more than pleased that most "batting" occurs with the left hand.

Cannon - Day 89 (10/5/10)

There are little things that I just want to grab on and remember forever.

Cannon's little arms.

His long tongue.

His grins that make me want to eat him up.

His fierce punches.

His concentration.

Cannon - Day 88 (10/4/10)

We've entered a new phase: Its's called the "chew and drool."

Step One: Grab hands together.

Step Two: Overshoot your mouth and whack yourself in the nose.

Step Three: Try again and gnaw away at your knuckles.

Step Four: Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!

Final Step: Soak through all of your shirts faster than Mom can change them.

Cannon - Day 87 (10/3/10)

It is true. Cannon had a nickname before he had a real name. So, a Prairie Creek friend made his adorable towel with Boomer on it. I love it because it's huge and fluffy and it just makes me smile. Cannon just plain loves it. His favorite part of bath time is snuggling in his towel. The instant I lay him down and wrap him up and wriggles and smiles.

Cannon - Day 86 (10/2/10)

We had our first road trip and overnight stay in a hotel courtesy of shooting weddings with Paul Go Images.  Our destination: the thriving metropolis of Longview, Texas.

I was a little nervous and packed way too much stuff, but Cannon was a trooper. He slept almost the entire way in the car, snoozed like a champ in his pack n' play and had a fabulous time watching football and eating hot wings with Daddy.

Cannon - Day 85 (10/1/10)

Smilefest! This is what I see everyday after I feed Cannon. It's like he couldn't be any happier to have a full tummy.

Cannon's getting so much more expressive. The picture below is NOT a sneeze - this is how intense he's communicating. He'll squish up his entire face, take a deep breath and then coo for all he's worth. It's priceless.
