My Dearest Darling Cannon:

I wanted to celebrate your 5th month birthday with this special letter to let you know
the fun we have had these past five months and how much we have treasured our time
together. You may wonder why I am beginning this letter to you with a photograph
of me and your Daddy! Well, it was taken just about 30 minutes before we heard the
wonderful news of your arrival. Oh what news and a priceless surprise Christmas gift!
So for the next 8 months we waited in anticipation as we tracked your monthly doctor
visits and progress reports, one of which confirmed that you would be a BOY! Yes,
you… my dear sweet Cannon.

And on July 8th at 6:25 am we received the call that you were on your way! Within 3-
4 hours our wonderful miracle of love arrived. Glammy flew straight to Dallas arriving
on a rainy night after midnight to finally meet my new grandson! You were so tiny and
sweet and had the most beautiful skin and lips – you instantly won our hearts!

A week after you arrived we got to spend more time with you. Uncle Chris and Holly
flew in from Arizona and we all took turns holding, hugging and kissing our new little
man! You smelled so sweet and all we did that weekend was gaze into your eyes, touch
your little hands and cuddle you in your woombie! We all felt so blessed to have you in
our family.

On Labor Day weekend you were now almost two months old. You are growing and
becoming much more alert as your handsome blue eyes can now follow our face and
voices. Uncle Chris and Holly joined us again…. And you must be very special because
Uncle Chris is not a fan of flying and this was his second trip in one month!! This
weekend we all packed into a van and spent the weekend introducing you to Arlington,
where Daddy and Uncle Chris grew up! We hit Angelos BBQ restaurant in Ft. Worth
where we all took a family photo with the famous bear! We walked around the soccer
fields, had a delicious frozen yogurt and saw the new Cowboy Stadium. You were such a
little trooper and we enjoyed having you along on our tour down memory lane!!

The following month you got to meet your Papa Joe. We all had so much fun at the
Pumpkin Patch where you weathered the hot sun and dust as well as many photo shoots
where you slid between the pumpkins and haystacks! We just cannot seem to get enough
pictures of our precious grandson. The best part of this weekend was the pumpkin
carving party where Papa Joe and I got to hold and play with you for a few hours while
mommy mingled with friends and daddy carved your first pumpkin. You finally fell
asleep on my lap and be assured that Glammy experienced a little piece of heaven with
you nestled in my arms.

…. And in November, my dear sweet Cannon Henry… it was time to meet your
namesake… Poppi…Henry Morse – and NANOU…. Your GREAT grandparents!
Like daddy, you were on an airplane very early in life to celebrate Thanksgiving and
make your New York debut. So many people were waiting to meet you… Poppi, Nanou,
Uncle Chris, Antionetta, Brianna, Alana, Uncle Mike, Aunt Ann and your new two week
old cousin, Olivia Marie! Your great aunts Mutzie and Carole came to meet you and
believe it or not…. there are still many more family members waiting for their chance to
say hello to this new little boy with the sweetest demeanor and handsome face!

Papa Joe and I love you very much and we can’t wait until you can come stay with us in
South Carolina and meet the rest of your family…. Aunt Chrissy, Uncle Joe & Aunt Hila.
I have your room ready and daddy’s wooden rocking horse is sitting in the corner
patiently waiting for you to play. Until then I will just gaze at all your pictures I have
placed in my entry way, fireplace, frig and nightstand. Your little face warms our heart
with every step of our day. Big hugs and kisses to you my little man and we look
forward to making many new memories with you !

Much love,

Glammy & Papa Joe
