Do you know how many pictures I have stacked up in SmugMug waiting to be blogged? Hundreds.

And all of them are special.  All of them capture mere seconds of my baby that I'll never get back and none of them can be skipped over. I'll get them up here eventually.

But in the mean time, life has been capturing all of my attention. I've been spending my moments with my baby in real life, soaking up his soft skin and delighting in his new toothy smile instead of spending hours editing the saturation and contrast on those hundreds of pictures.

So, hang in there and we'll get to show you all that our holiday season has beheld: a most Thankful Thanksgiving trip to New York to visit Cannon's great-grandparents, the most precious four-generation picture ever, sleepless nights of teething, special Christmas moments looking at lights as a new family of three, and experiencing little bits of Advent in anticipation of sharing the birth of our King with our kids one day.

This Christmas has been beautiful. Gifts were purchased early and we had calm, peaceful days waiting for the 25th to get here. I've been taking more pictures of life - the candid, little moments of our days. Daddy and Cannon cuddling on the floor; Nana snuggling and reading to Cannon in the rocking chair; the messiness that is one bite of rice cereal. I want to remember these little times, the seemingly mundane, but utterly precious un-posed seconds where life happens.

So, we're here, we're just living life instead of blogging it. We'll be back soon. Until then hug your family and enjoy the little moments of life.
