Cannon - Week 27 (1/13/11)

Cannon continued to expand his food palette with avacado and banana (not together) this week. He also experienced his first snow - which might not occur again for another 25 years - so I hope he enjoyed it.

And, it other monument news, he got his first, but probably not his last, busted lip. We were enjoying stretching on our yoga mat after Baby Boot Camp. Cannon was showing off his newly acquired skill of sitting up, and Mommy got a little to confident in his abilities. While she was talking he tipped forward and face planted on the hard mall floor. Many hugs, kisses and tears later Mom was wondering if she should submit herself to the "Mom Fail" blog and Cannon was thinking that he could just stay horizontal for a while, sitting up was totally overrated.

Cannon also tried out the Johnny Jump Up for the first time, thanks to a loan from a friend. He giggled and smiled when I bounced him up and down, but never quite got the hang of how to make it work himself. Our new doorways don't support a Johnny Jump Up, so we'll have to find other outlets for Cannon's energetic bounce.
