Our Family This Month (December 2012)

And just like that the year has come to an end. Twelve months. Where does the time go? I've decided that the more kids you have the faster time flies. 

December was full of half-marathons, photo shoots, craft fairs, freezer meal swaps, doctor's appointments, play dates and Cannon's second haircut at the barber shops. Friends had babies, Danny took up duck hunting, we discovered Duck Dynasty, and I got my first ever hair cut since before Cason was born. Danny took off a week from work for Christmas and we enjoyed slow days anticipating the holiday. 

Christmas was a sweet time for us this year. We did a simple advent reading from the Jesus Storybook Bible with Jesse Tree ornaments with Cannon. He's just beginning to understand more and it was fun to hear his little voice talk about the wise men coming to worship Jesus and bringing their "gold, mercy and frankincense."  I'll correct him next year.

Our New Year's Eve was spent playing games with friends and Cannon even stayed awake to ring in the New Year. He then celebrated the next morning by sleeping in an extra 20 minutes! 

And just like that it's 2013. Time for Cason's birthday. Time for a new yearly folder for photos on my computer. Time for a slow breath to soak in the days.
