Eating:
This month I skipped Cason's middle of the day nursing session and he didn't even seem to notice. *tear* We're now down to nursing just twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night before bed.
Talking:
Cason is picking up signing more and more, although it's much harder to sign consistently with him than it was with Cannon. I respond to his grunts much quicker because it's easier! He does point down to the ground and say "DA!" when he's done eating and ready to get down from his high chair.

Dislikes:
I can't think of anything this month that was particularly annoying to Cason.
Health:
Cason had his one-year well-baby check up with the pediatrician this month and everything looks great! Growing fast and developing right on track.
Milestones:
Cason is starting to sit through short picture books. He LOVES pointing at the pictures.
The little guy is also turning into quite the climber. He will get up on the fireplace/hearth and play up there until I notice him and take him down. He climbs on everything: the step stool, the baby gate and the fireplace.
This month Cason has started standing from a squatting position on his own. And then, on January 24th (12 1/2 months) he took two steps on his own, holding nothing but a book in each hand! Four days later he's taking 1-2 steps on his own.
Cason's Signs:

**And yes, my second child has a flair for the dramatic. Apparently the photo above was his royally mad face, but seconds later this awesome arching of the back occurred along with flailing of the arms and loud, protesting screams.**
