New Dirt for a New Yard

May started off ridiculously cold for Texas. We would get a few nice days of warm sunshine and then rain would come sweeping in with a cold front. 

One such cold front arrived the same weekend we decided to start putting some grass in our backyard. After a vicious attack on the weeds, Danny laid organic compost. I had had "one of those" days, so the minute Danny got home he was in charge of the kids and the dirt. I don't think the boys minded helping out one bit.
