First Family Christmas Party of the Season

Our first Christmas party here in New York was with extended family in New Jersey. We enjoyed appetizers, visiting with new friends, a rousing gift exchange during which a saute pan was the hot commodity, and then a delectable dinner of filet mignon, potato/sweet potato casserole, green beans, asparagus, and salad followed by the traditional coffee, cookies and new Scandinavian pudding.

We exchanged gifts via a Chinese Auction/White Elephant Gift Exchange/whateveryourwanttocallit, and laughed hysterically as a saute pan was the hottest gift of the night. I had the pan in my hands for just a few rounds before it was snatched up. However, I ended up going home with Starbucks coffee and peppermint syrup, so my coffee fetish was satisfied, so I couldn't complain. Danny chose to take home an insulated picnic/lunch bag for his meals on campus.

Here is Nan (in the middle) with her sisters, Carole (on the left), and Mutzi (on the right).

Happy Christmas Eve, especially to our Texas family - we miss you so much and are thinking of you!
