Dallas Date Night #9 - Frisbee Friday
Danny and I have been eating up the few days of spring weather Dallas has been having (in between the violent thunderstorms and hail!). We realized we missed good, hard thunderstorms while in South Carolina.
So, one friday night we decided to play outside. It was probably Danny's favorite date night EVER!
First Danny decided he needed to try to climb this tree. He tried very hard, but couldn't quite get up. We probably looked ridiculus - Danny clinging to a tree trunk and me snapping pictures. But we didn't care - we just enjoyed a good, harty laugh.
Look at how urban we've become - playing in the park with the Dallas skyscrapers in the background.
We played frisbee for a while. Danny tried to teach me new frisbee throwing techniques, but quickly gave up when he spent more time chasing my frisbee-throw-gone-wrong.
I shouldn't tell you this - but this was totally staged. I can't tell you how many times Danny jumped in the air and held the frisbee under his feet to get a picture that made it look like he caught the frisbee this way? Do you see how easily we can entertain ourselves?
This was a for-real, mid-action shoot.
After we got tired of frisbee, we played wiffle ball on the baseball field. I stood at home plate and pitched, while Danny stood on the pitcher's mound and hit. Each level of the backstop was a different base. Hitting the wiffle ball over the backstop was SUPPOSE to be an "out" until I whacked one over and was so excited that Danny changed it to a home run!
After wearing ourselves out, we drove through downtown looking for a little pizzeria to eat at for dinner.
We also drove by my office building, so here it is just in case you wanted to see The Crescent!
