Spring is Coming!
For Christmas my parents gave us a year-long membership to the Dallas Arboretum, which is a hop, skip, and a jump from our apartment.
We got to enjoy our first Sunday afternoon at the Dallas Blooms with Mom and Dad a few weeks ago. It was the perfect spring day, and Danny and I have fun playing "paparrazi" with the flowers.
These bushes were trimed in the shapes of horses - how fun is that?!
This cowboy was showing off with his lasso and Danny reminisced about his FFA days and learning to rope. I laugh at my high school goal of never dating a cowboy . . . now I'm married to one.
Look at my husbands photography skills and the shot he got of the water wall:
Danny spent a good 10 minutes photography bees, and I begged him to spare us all of the "bee knowledge" he gleaned from his Honey Bee Biology class at Texas A&M.
My favorite childhood spot at the Arboretum is the big hill that overlooks White Rock Lake.
Kids were there playing in bubbles . . .
Rolling down the hill . . .
and romping in the mud in their crisp, clean white clothes . . .
We will get to enjoy every season - all two of them - and all the different plants that grow during those two seasons at the Arboretum this year. And Danny will finally get to use his agricultural degree . . . on me!
Thanks Mom & Dad for all the fun we know we'll have at the Arboretum and for all the things I KNOW I'll learn from my husbands countless horticulture classes.
