5th Anniversary

For our 5th anniversary we knew we couldn't go far because we didn't want to leave Cannon for more than one night. So, we decided to book a room at The W Hotel here in downtown Dallas. 

We were completely unprepared for the poshness we encountered.

We thoroughly enjoyed the vanishing pool at sunset.

And, despite no hot water in the shower, room service breakfast did not disappoint. It came complete with personal french press coffee!

We requested a fridge because I was pumping milk for Cannon to replace all the bottles he was drinking up at Nana and Papas. And, as we were leaving we were laughing at our mini fridge. Think: "One of these things is not like the other . . ."

This quarterly review as all about being parents.  Below are a few of the questions we talked and laughed over:

What have you enjoyed most about being a dad/mom?

Danny: falling asleep with Cannon on my chest.

Laura: getting to stay at home with Cannon and watch him grow right before my eyes and cuddle with him in the middle of the day.

What has been the hardest thing about being a dad/mom?

Danny: getting up in the middle of the night!

Laura: feeling so completely incompetent.
