The Activity Board

 

I've gotten quite a few questions about Cannon's "activity board" that Danny made for his first birthday and realized I'd never blogged about it.

I got the idea while scanning Pinterest (go figure) and thought it would be a GREAT gift for Cannon's birthday. I knew there just wasn't a "toy" to be bought at a store that would suffice for our first son's first birthday. So, Danny consented to doing the legwork and off to Home Depot we went one date night to find the perfect, fiddly gadgets.

One day it's going to be mounted on the wall in the activity corner, but for now Cannon's content to play on the floor. He has plenty of time to grow into most of the gadgets, but he's still intrigued by things that spin, open, make noise and of course go "BOING!" (He could play with door stoppers all day long.) It makes for quite the conversation piece between Cannon and his little friends when they come over to play.
