Colt - Week 2

Colt is sporting hand-knitted wool longies from my sweet friend Ryley!
Stats:
+10 pounds

Clothes:
I packed away the newborn clothes when Colt was ten days old. Into three month onesies/outfits/pjs we go. The newborn clothes were just way too short and also getting a little too tight.

Diapers:
Disposable - I've been trying to squeeze Colt into newborn Pampers Swaddlers because we still have some left, but this weekend I gave up. He's just too big. So, into Size 1 we go!

Schedule:
None right now!

Sleep:
After ten days I finally put Colt to sleep in his pack n play instead of spending all night on my chest or cradled in the crook of my arm. I couldn't bare to be apart from him, but I wasn't sleeping well with him, so the foot of our bed he went.

We also started swaddling Colt in the Miracle Blanket more, as he gets startled easily sleeping on his back.

Eating:
Around 7 to 8 days old Colt must have had a growth spurt because he was eating every two hours around the clock for several days.

Talking:
Colt started cooing this week. His little voice is precious.

Teeth:
None of course

Likes:
Still likes eating.

Dislikes:
Being put down . . . he likes being held!

Health:
Baby acne is starting to show up.

Colt's umbilical cord stump has been bleeding a little bit all weekend. Both Cannon and Cason had to get silver nitrate put on their belly buttons, so we'll have Dr. McElroy look at it at Colt's two-week check up.

Events/Milestones:
We gave Colt his first bath this week. He was calm then entire time.

You're not going to believe me, but Colt is already trying to hold his head up and look around. The child needs to SLOW DOWN!

We had Colt's newborn photos (and family photos) taken by Taylor Jackson (Barefeet Photography) this week! They turned out beautifully.

Forgot what Cannon and Cason looked like at the same age?
Cannon - Week 2
Cason - Week 2
